Dolce Magazine Dic. 2014

Hello friends!! Today I just wanted to share an article that I wrote for a local magazine called Dolce Magazine. It's from Yucatan and it's great cause it's very complete and has a very interesting content. The article that I wrote it's in Spanish but I will post it in English too; and it's about the comfortable that fashion can get nowadays when we use sneakers to complement our outfit or give it a sport twist... Hola amig@s! Hoy quería compartirles un artículo que escribí para una revista local que se llama Dolce Magazine. Es de Yucatán y esta increíble porque además de ser muy completa nos ofrece un contenido súper interesante. El artículo que escribí habla sobre lo cómoda que puede llegar a ser la moda hoy en día como cuando usamos tenis para darle un giro deportivo y completar nuestro look. ME, MYSELF & I

                                                                                                                                                                     Hola!! Empezando un nuevo mes con muchas ideas, proyectos personales y profesionales y muchos muchos sueños; Este mes en NY va a ser un poco diferente a los 2 anteriores porque ahora estoy empezando una nueva etapa de este viaje, que me emociona pero me asusta a la vez. Nunca me había ido sola a otro lado, me acuerdo que cuando estaba más chica le tenía un miedo impresionante a dejar a mi familia, no podía irme a dormir ni a casa de amigas y siempre terminaban llamando en medio de la noche a pedir que fueran por mi porque yo necesitaba estar en mi casa, con mi familia (si, era medio rara jaja) Me acuerdo cuando tuve la oportunidad de irme un año a Estados Unidos a estudiar y a vivir con una familia y todo, y no quise, para mí irme de mi ciudad era algo que nunca creí ver “normal” y mucho menos a agarrarle tanto gusto y pasión, y ahora, después de 3 experiencias en el extranjero puedo asegurar que es de las cosas que uno TIENE que hacer por lo menos una vez en la vida. Lo admito, tengo alma y corazón viajeros, sin embargo siempre tengo la necesidad de volver. Pues hoy empiezo una nueva aventura, me quede “sola” en esta ciudad tan increíble y tan abrumadora a la vez. Debo confesar que disfruto estar sola, me encanta sentarme en algún café a leer o escribir, caminar por la ciudad, elegir a dónde ir y cuándo, sin tener que fijarme siquiera del reloj porque no tengo prisa alguna… por eso cuando me preguntan que a que vine a NY, mi respuesta siempre termina en lo mismo: a vivir. Porque exactamente a eso vine, a vivir la ciudad, a disfrutarla, a conocer gente y lugares, caerme, levantarme y aprender, a aprender mucho; y aunque se escuche muy cursi: vine a perderme en una ciudad inmensa y a la vez a encontrarme a mi misma…
                                                                                                                                                                               

Hello!! .. Starting a new month with lots of ideas, personal and profesional proyects, and lots and lots of dreams; This month its going to be a Little bit diferente than the past 2, cause now I’m starting a new stage of this trip, that’s is extreamly exciting and scarying at the same time. I’ve never been by myself in another place than home, I remember that when I was a kid i was really scared of leaving my family, I couldn’t even went to sleppovers cause they always ended up calling my parents to pick me up cause y really needed to go back home. (yes I was weird haha) I remember also when I had the oportunity to come to the United States for a year as an Exchange student with a host family and I tottaly refused. I never tought “leaving” was going to feel so normal and enjoyable. Now after 3 experiences abroad I can asure that doing this is one of the best things you HAVE to do at least once in your life. I admit that I have a travelers heart and soul, , even when I always feel the need to go back home. So, today I start a new adventure,  me myslef and I in this awesome and overwhealming city… I must confess that I also love being alone, I love to seat at a coffe shop with my toughts or a book. Walk around, choose when and where to go when I want to do it, no pressure, no rush. Thats why when people ask me why am came to  NYC, I say to LIVE. Cause thats exactly why im here, living the city, enjoying it, know more people, enjoy myself, and learn, learn alot. So even if it sounds cheesy, I’m here to get lost in this huge city and at the same time to find myself..                                   

Del outfit: amo combinar estilos y por eso aquí tengo puesto un poco de todo.. Top gris de algodón con mangas de cuero que contrastan con la falda de tablones de un tipo animal print en verde camouflage y negro con gris oscuro, unas botas con un poco de tacón, chamarra de piel y bolsa con detalles plateados. Un look casual-formal que sirve tanto de día como de noche :)

About the outfit: I love combining different styles, that's why here I'm wearing a little bit of everything.. Cotton top with leather sleeves, that make contrast with the animal print-ish green and grey tabloid skirt, low boots with a mini heel, leather jacket and a purse with silver details. This is a casual-formal look very useful for day or night :)

PIER 84

Ya tan cerca de empezar el otoño!! es impresionante que rápido pasa el tiempo y ya sin darnos cuenta cómo estamos bastante cerca de acabar el año! Septiembre y Octubre son de mis meses favoritos, es cuando el clima es perfecto porque tiene días que nos regalan lo poquito que queda del verano pero empiezan a prepararte para el invierno; es la estación que más me gusta hablando de moda, más opciones, los colores, los cortes, y sobretodo las capas (amo vestirme en capas).  Para ésta ocasion me tocó un día de "frío" mismo que al día siguiente se fue y trajo un calor veraniego; aplicando las capas, estoy usando unos leggins de tipo cuero: yo los hice! botas con un pequeño tacón y flecos: las amo, una blusa/vestido asimétrica negra, con un suéter negro básico, un chaleco tipo tejido color camel que combina con todo, y accesorios.. Espero q les guste :)


So close to start the fall !! it's amazing how fast time goes by and realizing how close to the end of the year we are! September and October are my favorite months, it's when the weather is perfect because it has days that give us what it's left of the summer but begin to prepare us for winter; This is the station that I love more, talking about fashion, more options, colors, but specially the layers (I love to dress in layers). For this ocassion it was a "cold" day (next day was as hot as summer) and applying layers, I'm using leather leggings, boots with a small heel and fringes, an asymmetrical blouse/dress with a basic black sweater, and on top a camel vest/hoodie that looks good with everything, and accessories .. hope you like it :)

(Totally true story for me today)

Estoy enamorada de esta ciudad!! Amo como siempre hay algo, sobretodo siempre hay algo relacionado con moda, hoy fue el 1er día de Coterie; es una plataforma para el mercado global de primer nivel que sirve de puente de ropa y accesorios a los diseñadores a nivel internacional, el quién es quién de minoristas.. y estilo la fashion week, hay mucha gente ( ya sean exhibidores o compradores) vestida muy cool y muy stylish, y gracias a mi internship pude estar presente (les comparto algunas fotos) una experiencia totalmente nueva y diferente!! Para estar en el show usé una falda básica de rayas blanca y negra con una blusa con escote negra, y una de mis chamarras favoritas, y tenía unas botas con tacón, mismas que tuve que cambiarme por el excesivo dolor de pies jaja así que les muestro ambos looks :)

I'm in love with this city !! I love how there is always something to do, especially something to do with fashion, today was the 1st day of Coterie; It is a platform for the first level global market that bridges clothing and accessories to designers internationally, the who's who of retailers .. and just like the fashion week, many people (whether exhibitors or buyers) are all over the place dressed very cool and very stylish, and thanks to my internship could be there (I share some pictures) this is a totally new and different experience to me!! For the show I used a basic black and white skirt with a black blouse, and one of my favorite jackets, and I also had boots with heels, but I had to change them cause the excessive foot pain haha so I show both looks :)

Every person on the streets of NY is a type.

The city is one big theater where everyone is on display.

Semana de la moda en NY! 

Un sueño cumplido y una experiencia increíble para todo amante de la moda! 

La ciudad repleta de gente con estilo, las calles inundadas de fashionistas, bloggers, artistas, modelos, fotógrafos y celebrities; todo un show que no sólo pasa en las pasarelas sino que lo llevan por las calles también. (Nunca había visto tantos diferentes estilos concentrados en un sólo lugar!)

Sólo pararte fuera del Lincoln Center se respira un ambiente padrísimo y lleno de moda, el street style tan diverso y tan diferente, definitivamente una experiencia que quiero repetir!!

Para este evento usé una falda fucsia con un vestido encima y mis zapatos wtf (más adelante les haré un post sólo de ellos jaja) y una bolsa de lado con lentes de sol, porque eso sí, hacía un calor exagerado!!

Fashion week in NY! 

A dream come true and an amazing experience for all fashion lovers! 

Scenario: the city full of stylish people, flooded streets of fashionistas, bloggers, artists, models, photographers and celebrities; a show that wasn't happening just on the runway, it was through the streets as well. (I've never seen so many different styles concentrated in one spot!) 

Just standing outside the Lincoln Center was a really cool and full of fashionable atmosphere, street style so diverse and so different, definitely an experience I want to repeat !! 

For this event I used a fuchsia skirt with a dres and my wtfshoes (I will post about them later haha) and a side bag with sunglasses, because it was so so hot !!

Un poco tarde pero aquí esta mi post, pues les cuento que me vine a NY!! Es una de mis ciudades favoritas y desde chiquita había dicho que algún día iba a vivir aquí, así que después de tanto pensarlo y meses de espera: aquí estoy!
Aquí les iré contanto de mi nueva vida y de lo increíble que es esta ciudad, subiendo fotos de mis outfits y de lo que encuentre por las calles (que aquí hay de todo).
